Established in 2006 in Spring Lake Village, the practice is opposite the main lake and easily visible from the Boulevard. There is plenty of easy parking right at the front of the practice. It is also easily accessible from the neighbouring suburbs of Springfield, Camira, Brookwater, Greenbank and Augustine Heights.

Optometrist and Eye Care Specialist:

Paul Lagos

Paul, graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Applied
Science (Optometry) in 1996. After beginning his career as an Optometrist and Practice
Manager within a large optical group, Paul followed his vision of establishing a community-
focused practice and in 2006 became the first optometrist to open in Springfield Lakes,
providing dedicated eye care to the growing local community.

Committed to continually expanding his clinical expertise, Paul completed a Graduate
Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics at QUT in 2007. This qualification enables him to
prescribe therapeutic medications for common eye conditions such as conjunctivitis and
glaucoma, as well as diagnose a wide range of ocular diseases including macular
degeneration. Paul is passionate about delivering thorough, personalised eye care and
building long-term relationships with his patients.

Outside the practice, Paul enjoys the simple pleasures of life. He loves spending time in his
garden, reading, watching movies and has recently taken on the challenge of learning to
read Greek. A self-confessed food lover, Paul enjoys all cuisines, though a good wood-fired
pizza & sticky date pudding remain his favourites.

Patsy

With more than 25 years in the optical industry, Patsy has built a career around the belief
that eyewear should be as stylish as it is functional.

After spending over two decades managing practices, she fulfilled a long-held dream of
owning and running her own optometry practice for five years. Throughout her career, her
focus has always been on creating a welcoming experience for customers while helping
them see and feel their best. She’s excited to now bring that same passion, experience and
attention to detail into the new role as Practice Manager at Springfield Lakes Eyecare.
Eyewear is one of the most personal accessories we wear, and Patsy believes choosing the
right frame is both an art and a science. Her love of fashion and her eye for detail help
customers find frames that complement their face shape, colouring and personal style.
Whether it’s a bold statement or a beautifully subtle fame, her goal is to always ensure
customers leave feeling comfortable and excited about their eyewear.

Outside of the practice Patsy enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her three
young grandchildren, with another soon to join the family. Life, family & the joy of personal
style all continue to inspire the care and attention she brings to every customer interaction.

Shay

Shaylee is an Optical Assistant at Springfield Lakes Eyecare and has been part of the team
for the past three years, working closely alongside Paul. She loves helping patients find
eyewear that not only improves their vision but also suits their personality and everyday
style.

Before joining the optical industry, Shaylee spent six years working as a hairdresser. That
experience gave her a great eye for style, face shapes and detail, which she now brings to
helping customers choose frames that look great and feel comfortable.
Shaylee enjoys getting to know patients and making the process of choosing glasses easy,
relaxed and even a little fun. She takes pride in helping people walk away feeling confident
in their new look.

Outside the practice, Shaylee enjoys baking (especially making cookies) and spending time
outdoors walking her dog with her partner.
